Choose SimpleCards if…
you want the card itself and nothing else to think about — no card fee, no cap on who can sign, and no reason to hesitate before making the next one. Ideal if you organise cards regularly, or if expensing £4.99 is more hassle than the card is worth.
Choose Thankbox if…
you want video and voice messages, your own branding on the card, or you want to collect money for a gift in the same place as the card. Those are real features we don't have, and for a big send-off they may well be worth the fee.

A team of thirty people has roughly thirty birthdays a year. At £4.99 a card, that's about £150 — and that's before anyone leaves, retires, or has a baby.
Thankbox vs GroupGreeting — and where we fit
These two come up together a lot, so here is the short version. Both charge per card at a similar price; they differ in what you get for it.
Thankbox
UK-based, around £4.99 a card. The premium tier adds video and voice messages, your own branding, and a gift pot alongside the card. The most complete option of the three if you want the gift and the card handled in one place.
GroupGreeting
From about £4.79 a card, with a very large template library. Strong on choice of design, lighter on the extras — no gift collection built in.
SimpleCards
Free, unlimited signers, unlimited cards. No video, no branding, no gift pot. If what you actually need is somewhere for thirty colleagues to write a message, that is the whole job, and there is nothing to pay.

Where Thankbox has the edge
Thankbox is a good product and the fee buys real things. If any of these matter to you, pay for it — we would rather you had the right card than the free one.
Video and voice messages
Thankbox premium lets people record a video or a voice note instead of typing. For a leaving card after ten years, hearing someone's voice lands differently to reading it. SimpleCards is text, images and GIFs only.
A gift pot beside the card
Thankbox can collect money for a group gift in the same place people sign. SimpleCards deliberately never touches money, so you would need to run a collection separately.
Company branding
Thankbox premium puts your own logo and colours on the card, which matters for anything client-facing or official.
